Dr. Grant Chamberlain, BSc, MD, CCFP, FCFP, Dip Sport Medicine

Grant has been practicing family and primary care sport medicine since 1990. He currently has his own practice in Kelowna and works in a medical capacity for numerous sporting events. Just a few of these roles include team physician for the Okanagan Sun football team, the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for the 2000 BC Senior Games, and Ski Patrol Physician at Big White Ski Resort.

Dr. Martin Collis

Dr. Collis' lifetime achievements are vast and varied. In 1997, Dr. Collis was one of the first four people recognized as a "Pioneer of Canadian Wellness". He has supplemented his background in exercise physiology by writing books and songs, coaching swimming at the Olympic level, and growing the world's understanding of well-being through his international speaking career. His humour and skill have received copious accolades from his keynote speeches and presentations at numerous top-level health conferences. His work has been personally recognized by the Prime Minister of Canada and the White House.

Lynn Johnson, B.PhEd., Personal Trainer & Lifestyle Coach

Lynn has been a Personal Trainer for 16 years and has a varied background including rehab, sport specific training and the general community. At present, she spends a lot of her time training trainers as she teaches for the BCRPA (British Columbia Parks and Recreation). Lynn is very active in the fitness industry such as the current Chairperson of the BCRPA, IDEA Member (International Fitness Professionals Organization) and Master Trainer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Vern J. Nielsen, B.Com., M.A.

Mr. Nielsen has been a senior executive and entrepreneur in packaged goods, personal entertainment, high tech and numerous other industries. His experience spans roles at General Foods to being CEO of multiple successful ventures. He has conducted business in Canada, USA, Europe and Asia. His two most recent positions were as VP Worldwide Sales & Marketing for a segment-leading packaged goods firm based in New York City and as cofounder of a high tech software company in Kelowna. Mr. Nielsen also leads OkanaganMentors.com, an OSTEC initiative to connect start up technology companies. As an entrepreneur and private investor, he has made investments and engineered liquidity events in a wide range of ventures, including packaged goods, sporting goods, real estate, the hospitality/entertainment industry and high tech.

Mr. Nielsen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Calgary and did Graduate Studies in marketing at University of British Columbia.

Cory Tout, B.PE., B.Ed, Personal Trainer

Cory has enjoyed many facets of the fitness and nutrition field since 1983. As a fitness expert, she has held a wide variety of positions from Fitness Director to Exercise Therapist, providing post-rehabilitation training to clients recovering from injuries. At present she owns a Personal Training and Consulting business that provides personal training, and nutrition counseling to healthy and post-rehabilitation clients. Cory is also a trainer and course conductor for the BCRPA (British Columbia Parks and Recreation). She is actively involved in coaching soccer, ringette, basketball and track & field.
